Reader Survey – Thank You!
I have been blogging now for over 3 years and I’m feeling that things are about to take off.
Don’t ask me how I know that, it’s just a “gut” instinct – time will tell.
I really appreciate the time you, my readers, have taken to answer the survey and I will use this to keep writing great content that you will want to read.
Survey Results
To summarise the results, I can tell you that the audience for Timbo On Tech is mostly male, between 30 and 49.
Almost unanimously, you liked my existing articles on subjects such as:
- ergonomics and productivity
- online security
- gadget reviews
- software
You said you would like to see more of all of these.
The biggest issues you have with technology are:
- worries that computer use might hurt your body
- finding software frustrating to use, thus sapping your productivity
You wanted to know about online security, but also found time to kick back and relax with the odd game review, or insider information on “cool apps”.
If you would like to see the aggregated results up close and personal, with all the shiny graphs, then have a look here.
Survey Follow Up
What am I going to do with this information?
Well, I’m glad you asked.
First off, I’m encouraged that I’m already writing articles that you appreciate and want to read.
Your answers are a clear “yes, please” for more of the same, but I don’t want to stop there.
I have been thinking for a while about moving Timbo On Tech on, and up, to the next level.
I want to go wider and deeper, on the subjects that are close to your hearts and it’s great to know that those same subjects are the ones that I am passionate about too!
Further than that, I’ve been thinking about a name change for this blog, a possible migration to WordPress and maybe even my own custom domain name.
Blogger is a great platform to start out with, but I’ve been feeling that Timbo On Tech is beginning to outgrow it.
Don’t worry though, this will no doubt take me some time to go through and I’ll make sure to keep you informed of any changes.
Watch this space!
Since you’ve asked to see more about ergonomics and software, in particular, today’s question is based around that.
Discussion Question:Â What ergonomics subjects and software issues would you like to see covered here in the near future?
